Music MonthMusic In Our Schools Month is a wonderful opportunity to generate buzz for the music program, gets everyone in the community thinking and talking about the many different wonderful ways to enjoy music in all its forms, and - most importantly - draw attention to the important role that quality music education plays in every student's schooling. ~ Elizabeth Caldwell.

At East Street we celebrated by creating a Spirit Week for all students to participate in.

On Monday, March 25th, students wore their clothes inside out to celebrate the way music touches us inside and displays itself on the outside.

On Tuesday, March 26th, the students were encouraged to dress up in their most fanciest clothes emulating "A Day at the Opera".

On Wednesday, March 27th, students wore the color blue to celebrate the soulful coolness of the Blues music.

On Thursday, March 28th, was crazy hair day to celebrate Rock N Roll.

On the last day of Spirit Week, each grade wore a different color to symbolize a different rock or pop band throughout music history.  The bands were Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Yellowcard, Green Day, Pink Floyd, The White Stripes, and The Black Eyed Peas.
