We are pleased to announce that Hicksville Schools will be participating in the Community Eligible Provision (CEP) available to select schools as a part of the Federal National School Breakfast and Lunch Program.
What does this mean for my student(s) who attend Hicksville Schools?
All students will receive a nutritious breakfast and lunch at no charge each school day, regardless of family income. All meals offered to Hicksville students follow USDA Guidelines for milk, fruits, vegetables, proteins and grains. A la carte items such as water and snacks will still be available for purchase. We encourage families to register for My School Bucks on the District Website, as students are not allowed to charge a la carte items under any circumstance. Parents are expected to pay any prior outstanding balance on their student's account.
Even though families no longer need to submit an application to qualify for free or reduced lunch, we are asking you to submit the Education Benefit Form below, which will help Hicksville Schools qualify for Federal and State Grants that support instructional initiatives and student learning. In addition, if eligible, you may also qualify to receive waivers for college applications & admissions tests (i.e., SATs, ACTs), and discounted school fees (i.e., fees for instruments etc.).
