The Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, the Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessments and the Curriculum Supervisors provide instructional leadership to ensure all students are provided with a rigorous curriculum to fulfill and exceed their potential.

The instructional programs offered to all students attending Hicksville Public Schools are guided by the Common Core Learning Standards and designed to prepare students for the world into which they will graduate as college and career ready, empowering students to live and work in a changing economy and global society. Development and evaluation of the curriculum is an ongoing process to ensure that students are provided with a seamless program that is consistent, competitive and challenging. Performance objectives are established for each course with flexibility to allow for individual growth and differentiated methods of instruction.
